About John

John Hayes, owner and bookkeeper

John Hayes Owner & Bookkeeper

I’m a Tuscaloosa-based bookkeeper who helps small service businesses get a clear, accurate picture of their finances, without the jargon or the guesswork.

I earned my B.S. in Accounting from the University of Alabama, where I also competed as a Division I athlete. That background taught me discipline, consistency, and attention to detail, the same habits I bring to every set of books.

I started Hayes Bookkeeping Co. because too many business owners are stuck with messy, unreconciled books and no one to ask. When you work with me, you work directly with the person handling your books.
